Chembyo IPAMin

Description

Chembyo Ipamin is formulated based on isopropyl alcohol and is fully compatible with dampening additives (fountain solution concentrates) from various manufacturers. Through extensive laboratory research, an optimal blend of active surfactants was selected to effectively reduce the surface tension of the fountain solution, allowing dosage of Chembyo Ipamin to be reduced to 3–5%. Extended testing and practical feedback from operating print shops show that Chembyo Ipamin can cut dampening costs by up to 50% compared to conventional isopropyl alcohol usage.

Chembyo IPAMin is used in humidification systems for sheet-fed offset printing. It is based on isopropyl alcohol and is fully compatible with additives (concentrates) in humidification solutions from various manufacturers.

Usage Guidelines

1. When printing with conventional offset inks, the dose of Ipamin is 3% of the total fountain solution volume.

2. Recommended fountain solution parameters: pH 4.9–5.3; 800–1400 µS/cm; when using treated water — 8–10 °dH; when using tap water, a value of 1600 µS/cm is acceptable.

3. When printing heavy coverage Pantone or metallic inks, the dosage of Ipamin can be increased to 4%.

4. When printing with UV inks and foil/non-porous inks, the dose of Ipamin is 5% of the total fountain solution volume.

5. Recommended fountain solution parameters: pH 4.9–5.3; 800–1400 µS/cm; when using treated water — 8–10 °dH; when using tap water, a value of 1600 µS/cm is acceptable.
